About CRHNet

CRHNet is a not-for-profit organization established in 2003 to promote and strengthen disaster risk reduction and emergency management in Canada. The Network creates an environment for hazards research, education and emergency management practitioner communities to effectively share knowledge and innovative approaches that reduce disaster vulnerability.

About the Annual Symposium

Sharing innovative approaches and building best practices to reduce disaster vulnerability in Canada is one of Canadian Risk and Hazards Network's (CRHNet) main purposes in hosting the 14th annual Symposium this October in Halifax. Our Global audience is a unique, focused group that is eager to learn about organizations and services that aid in the execution of their work.

Building Resilience: “From Catastrophe to Capacity" is this years theme and the program will continue to review and discuss the history of hazard characterization and disaster risk reduction with a key to creating a vision for the future. It will include plenary and themed sessions; presentations; panel discussions; and, poster presentations.

Why Exhibit at, or Partner with, the Annual Symposium?

This is a great opportunity for you to get exposure, increase outreach and connect with industry professionals that are eager to learn about your product and services.

As a non-profit organization that strives to keep registration fees low enough for government, NGO, academic and private businesses to attend, we depend on our partners to support this important Canadian initiative.

It’s important that we have exhibitors and partners that also add value to our attendees. Our captive, decision making audience is eager to see new innovative solutions. Our attendees are open to learning new ways to solve both new and old challenges within the Disaster Management field.

We would like to invite you to explore the partnership opportunities and determine if this is an event you would like to support through exhibiting your organization's offerings or supporting one of several initiatives.
