Job Alerts

The CRHNet membership committee posts alerts to job opportunities in the fields of risk, hazard and disaster management. This initiative, started in 2016, provides another service to CRHNet members. Job alerts summarize the job opportunity, link to its formal posting and where available include a start and end date for the competition.

CRHNet Annual Symposia

The CRHNet Annual Symposium is held in October or November each year. It is held in cities across Canada where organizations or individuals have volunteered to work with the CRHNet Symposium Committee. This next symposium will be held in Montreal in 2016.

Stories from the front lines

This project captures stories about disruptive events and the experiences of dealing with them. It is based on the compilation "Stories from the Edge" as sheparded and edited by David Etkin. That compilation book is available in the CRHNet website library. You can submit your stories directly on this site or through the project lead, Larry Pearce. To post your stories to this website, create a PDF and attach it to your Posting tagged with the theme "Stories: Front lines".

CRHNet Awards Program

CRHNet offers four types of awards and bursaries annually. They recognize and support people and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to the field of disaster risk reduction, and who hold promise to make such contributions in the future.
