Field trips are encouraged, and can be held prior to, or after, the CRHNet technical program. Proposals for field trips can be directed to the Operating Committee any time prior to July 6, 2012.
Field trip inquiries and proposals should be directed to Bert Struik. |
Call for field trips is open and should be made by email to Bert Struik.
CRHNet annual symposium field trips should not overlap with the technical program. They may run single or multi-day. Organization for and operation of the trip is left to the proponents. Field trip registrations will be handled by the symposium.
Field trips may include technical or social tours. Examples of technical tours include various operational centres (e.g. emergency, critical infrastructure), local hazards, hazard or risk mitigation, and research and training facilities. Social tours may include any of the cultural richness of the Metro Vancouver area.
Field trip proposals require a description for the symposium program documents. They will need to demonstrate that all reasonable precautions have been taken to ensure the safety of trip leaders and guests. |
